I do not watch television every day, and that’s actually a real issue because I live with an elderly family member who has it on from the time she gets up until the time she goes to bed. I only like to watch if there is something I plan to see, and otherwise I find having the television on as annoying as a swarm of mosquitoes. When I was a kid, I remember trying to fall asleep with the pillow over my head because my hard-of-hearing dad was watching Johnny Carson. Of course, I owe these relatives the fact that I enjoy any shows at all, because I learn to like a few of them due to what they are watching. Major League baseball is the exception, though, as I have loved watching games since I was a kid in diapers. These days I like some of the reality competitions and certain dramas with fabulous characters. So all told, on average, I guess I watch between one and two hours of television each day.
